GET BACK TO WORK ON AN ELECTRIC BICYCLE!

Westonworks – has two electric bicycles for loan to people who have been unemployed, but have found work and need help with transport.

Manager of westonworks, Adrian Stone said: “For people who have been unemployed for a while starting a new job can come with all sorts of difficulties – one of which, in a rural area like North Somerset, can be how am I going to get to work? There can be particular difficulties for people who don’t have their own transport, and their new job is not accessible by public transport either because buses or trains don’t go there, or don’t go there at the times they need to be there. The electric bikes can be borrowed for up to two months and come complete with lights, lock, pannier, pump and training (if required).”

Ross Telfer, who’s borrowed an electric bike and recently started work as a chef at the York Hotel in Weston said “It’s an absolute Godsend, wonderful, fantastic, never realised what a difference it would make! I’ve early morning starts and there’s no way I’d make them without it, it’s the only way to get there!”

Ross is so impressed he’s thinking about buying one himself.
